Surf & chill in Arugambay

Arugambay is the perfect place to hang out and go surfing. It is a small quiet town on the eastcoast with surfing for all levels and it is very close to the Kumana National Park.

Surfing
For surfing I recommend the guys at Amigo surfschool. Johnson and his guys did a great job teaching our family. We were all beginners, but they got us all up on our boards the first day.

Eating
The Hideaway has a really chill backyard for lunch hangout with a treehouse, hammocks and lounge sofas.

Lodging
We stayed at "The Water Edge" which was a lot of value for your money and its right on the beach.
Amigo surfschools also has cabanas on the beach that looked very nice; Aloha Cabanas
Check out the family run Gecko for lodging and eating.
For more upscale lodging take a look at The Hideaway, The spice trails or Roccos.

Shopping
This guy on the main street makes bikinis, so heres a chance to get your own custommade bikini.

and look for the sustainable shop Rice and carry where they sell cool bags made from recycled rice bags.
