Trincomalee is a really nice beach on the northeast coast. The beaches here are long sandy beaches with a mix of resorts, backpacker places and local fishermen. The areas of Uppuveli and Nilaveli are the best places to stay.

Trinco blu by Cinnamon Nice resort located right on the beach of Uppuveli. The bungalows are recommended.
Eating
Fernando´s beach bar really nice and chill place to hang out with a backpacker vibe.
Snorkling
A boat tour out to Pigeon Island is recommended. Great snorkling, but can be pretty crowded with tourist.
